Flaying is one of the oldest executions around and was practiced in ancient China. Flaying is where you hold or strap someone down and carve the skin off of someone's body while they are still alive. They like to keep the skin intact to make items out of their skin such as jackets. Usually the would only flay enemies that were captured in war though. The people that were being carved would be alive for a long time until they would finally die after minutes of pain.
